The Team

Sarah

Sarah qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Bristol in 1997 and, following a spell in a mixed practice, moved to a busy small animal practice in Gloucester where she was able to gain further experience in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. In January 2006 Sarah moved back to her roots in Shropshire where she took over Oakville Veterinary Surgery. Sarah has 2 dogs (Willow and Teasel); 3 cats (Bill, Ben and Hopeless); 2 horses (Jamelia and Rupert) and 6 pet sheep (Bridget, Dolly, Dotty, Myrtle, Josie and Ugly Betty)!

Amanda

Mandy is the Head Nurse at Oakville and is fully qualified and registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Althrough Mandy has only been at Oakville since July, she worked with Sarah in Gloucester for several years prior to moving to Telford. Mandy is responsible for running the puppy parties at Oakville. Mandy has 2 dogs (Freckles and Dumbo); a rabbit (Magners); guinea pig (Bulmers) and too many cats to list!

Laura

Laura is the Senior Veterinary Nurse at Oakville Veterinary Surgery and has been working in veterinary practice for the past 5 years. Laura is in the final stages of formalising her training and qualifications so that she can register with the Royal College as Mandy has. Laura has a tortoise called Harry and a cat called Jess!

Moya

Moya is the Practice Administrator and has worked at Oakville since 2000! Moya is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the practice and making sure that everything is in order. Moya also helps Mandy with the puppy parties! Moya has 2 dogs (Ted and Elsie); 4 cats (Freddie, Jack, Bertie and Archie) and a husband who is still undergoing training!

Emma

Emma has worked at Oakville since 2002 and enjoys all aspects of animal care. Emma is very caring towards all animals that come into the practice and has taken home several waifs and strays over the years. Emma has 2 cats (Squidgy and Trixsta).

Tasha

Tasha is the newest member of our team and has been with us since September. Tasha has wanted to be a veterinary nurse since she was about 5 years old and is now gaining experience in her chosen career. Tasha has 1 dog (Milo); 1 cat (Lily) and a rabbit called Sylvester!

Cruella

Cruella is the official Practice Cat and our longest serving member of staff. Cruella was born at Oakville 18 years ago and has seen many changes over the years. All developments to the practice or staff changes have to be approved by Cruella before the going ahead!
