Introducing our pet star for March…..

Introducing our pet star for March…..

Each month the staff at Oakville nominate a deserved patient that was a superstar throughout their treatment. The chosen pet will be proudly displayed here and on the notice boards in reception. This month pet star goes to a Staffordshire bull terrier that was taken in by Hilbrae as a stray; he was given the name of Rocky! When he came into the practice he was lame on his left hind and very underweight with bad skin.

X-rays revealed an old fracture that hadn’t healed well and left him with a severely deformed leg. The decision was therefore made by the vets alongside Hilbrae staff to amputate the leg rather than put him to sleep. Rocky responded really well to the surgery and is slowly gaining weight and running round on 3 legs amazingly fast!!

We are pleased to announce that shortly after Rocky found a loving new home and is enjoying leisurely strolls along the beach and a nice warm bed in the evening with a new name of Bertie!

If you think you would like to rehome a dog like Rocky, Hilbrae have lots to choose from, just visit their website www.hilbrae.co.uk
