VETERINARY SURGEON – (full or part time)

Eileen, who has been with us since graduating 2 years ago, has been offered her dream job doing emergency surgery and medicine so, though we are very sad to see her moving on, we now have an opportunity for a suitable candidate to join our team!

We are currently looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our progressive and dynamic team of experienced vets, qualified nurses and support staff! We would consider both full or part time candidates, with anyone wanting to work full time having the option of working a 4 day week. No OOH. Saturdays worked on a rota basis.

We are a friendly, independent, progressive RCVS accredited practice which actively encourages self development and autonomy whilst, at the same time providing support and encouraging (and supporting) CPD. We are passionate about continuity of care for our patients and their owners and, where possible, ensure that our vets follow their cases through.
We can offer:

A happy and friendly work environment with some flexibility
Other supportive, experienced and dynamic veterinary surgeons to work alongside
A fantastic nursing team (including 3 RVNs)
Many “toys” including digital X-ray, ultrasound, ECG, therapeutic laser and in house IDEXX laboratory (with catalyst and haematology).
Single site, modern, up to date premises (with air conditioning!)
Emergency cover provided by VetsNow.
Hours and a rota that allows you to have a life outside work!
CPD encouraged and funded
Excellent Salary
Company pension scheme

We are looking for someone who:

Is an excellent clinician and who will provide an excellent standard of veterinary care to our patients
Is highly skilled, both surgically and diagnostically, and who works their cases up diligently
Is keen to develop themselves and progress their skills further – a certificate would be encouraged and supported for the right candidate
Has excellent communication skills and a good “bedside manner” with clients
Is a team player and who will work well within our friendly, close knit team
Will provide and excellent service to our clients and promote the ethos of our practice.
